Katrin, 19 Jahre, freut sich auf ihr erstes Semester - endlich kann sie weg von zu Hause und ihrem überfürsorglichen Vater. Glücklich über den neuen Lebensabschnitt und ihre Freiheit, bezieht sie ein Zimmer im Wohnheim, stürzt sich ins Studentenleben und lernt sogleich eine Clique aus höheren Semestern kennen. Dass ihre Vormieterin spurlos verschwunden ist, kümmert sie zunächst wenig. Kurz darauf findet sie jedoch das Videotagebuch der Verschwundenen, das ein grausames Licht auf die neu kennengelernte Clique wirft. Katrin versucht, herauszufinden, was im Zimmer 205 passiert ist und weckt durch ihre Neugier die Dämonen der Vergangenheit. Was versuchen sie, zu vertuschen? Ein unerklärlicher Bann zwischen ihr und der Verschwundenen sorgt für mysteriöse Todesfälle und plötzlich steht Kathrin im Zentrum der polizeilichen Ermittlungen. Dabei schwebt sie selbst in größter Lebensgefahr.

One night, she makes a horrifying discovery in the cellar: Christian, a young man she had slept with, is dead. And it’s only the first in a series of grisly “accidents” in which Kathrin is involved. When she finds the video diary of her predecessor, Annika, she becomes convinced that Annika was murdered by a clique of students who are now accusing her of killing Christian. Kathrin feels increasingly terrorized... Annika’s video messages seem to be the desperate cries of a tormented young woman. But are they really? Fearful of going mad and suffering the same fate as her predecessor, Kathrin wants to clear up the mystery – even if it means confronting herself with terrifying truths about her fellow students, herself, and the former occupant of Room 205...
